Where to Watch the Women's World Cup in London 2023
London is home to a nation of sports lovers far and wide, and in the wake of Wimbledon comes the Lionesses and the Women’s World Cup. If you weren't one of the lucky ones to score a ticket to Australia or New Zealand, then no sweat - we’re kicking off the season with 6 of the city’s best screening spots, so you can keep up to date with every dribble, tackle, goal, and penalty in HD. From Speedboat Bar to The Griffin Belle, make sure to check out the app for more of London’s best live sport pubs near you.
1. Vinegar Yard
We can’t decide which is better - the electric atmosphere of the footy, or an impressive backdrop of the Shard whilst viewing the footy. Vinegar Yard is combining both on their open-air courtyard, so there’s little wonder it’s a hot-favourite to watch the Women's World Cup. Here’s the cherry on top - the venue will be serving their famous pizzas from Bad Boy Pizza Society, crisp cold beers, and summery cocktails, making those winning goals all the more sweeter.
Location: 72-82 St Thomas Street, Borough, SE1 3QU
2. The Griffin Belle
There’s nothing like sipping on a refreshing cold pint, but on match day? Even better. Perched on the corner of Wyvil Road, The Griffin Belle are welcoming sports fans in to watch the action unfold on their UHD screens. Rock up, choose from their pretty sweet selection of craft beers, and find the best spot in the house. No stress if the heat of the match is getting to you either, as you’ll find their sun-trapped patio adorned with floral baskets and leafy plants to take some time out.
Location: 8 Wyvil Rd, London SW8 2TH
3. Speedboat Bar
For a live sport viewing experience that's a little more unique, take a trip to Soho where you'll find Speedboat Bar. This Bangkok-inspired ‘late night’ canteen has racing boats suspended from the ceiling, pool tables that transform into real tables, and an incredible selection of spiced and drunken stir fries, Singha beer, and alcoholic green tea. Not only has it positively crashed into London’s bar and dining scene, but it's also got a reputation for screening the biggest sporting events all year round - so make sure to head upstairs and cheer on the Lionesses from not one, but three impressive TVs.
Location: 30 Rupert St, London W1D 6DL

4. Big Penny Social
Big Penny Social is a place where you couldn't avoid seeing the latest football match, even if you tried. Especially when the warehouse is decked out with two massive screens on game days. This iconic East London venue has a lively atmosphere (that rivals the stadium itself), bench style seating and an impressive 20 beers on tap - including limited edition and guest star brews, which you can taste with the pleasure of supporting your favourite team.
Location: 1 Priestley Way, London E17 6AL
5. The Four Thieves
If you don’t fancy a pint at 11am - the matches will be screened from Australia and New Zealand after all - then the Four Thieves are offering iced coffees and teas to accompany the Lionesses in all their glory. Beers and cocktails are still very much on the menu, but we’re not here to talk about just drinks as this traditional sports venue will be screening England’s games in their Boat House, on a swanky HD projector no less. Make sure to book your free spot and get cheering, pronto!
Location: 51 Lavender Gardens, London SW11 1DJ
6. Toca Social
Located inside the O2 arena, Toca Social are screening the Women's World Cup where you’d least expect it. Open earlier than most, there’s two options on how you’ll want to play this: The first is to swing by on game days and catch an England match. The second, and more tempting, is to book one of their seating packages if you fancy turning your viewing into a full-on party. Either way, this lively spot (with an American-themed menu) is a great place to bring together a few friends, settle in, and show some support for the team.
FYI: whilst we’re on the topic, football is at the heart of Toca’s scene, offering the world’s first immersive football and top-class dining experience for when you’re not glued to the World Cup.
Location: Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX
