Once again, London will be bustling with an array of Pride events throughout June, be it dazzling drag acts, mesmerising cabaret showcases, a talent show with the finest LGBTQ+ competitors, and even free DJ sets with more than enough cocktails to go around. 1. Check Out River Stage: The Glory

Head on over to the National Theatre for drag queen lip sync contests, life drawing with a twist, an irresistible prosecco brunch, and more on their River Stage. This series of events was curated by the extraordinary Jonny Woo and John Sizzle, two Grand Dames who are regulars at LGBTQ+ pub, The Glory. Whether you’re into musical theatre or DJ sets to get you dancing, you have to check out these events for a seriously good time.

2. Discover The Cabaret Sauvignon: #ShizzleDazzle

For their dazzling finale, the LGBTQ+ Stand Up Comedy Festival will be holding a night of comedy headlined by Rhys Nicholson, a star known for their appearances in Judge Ru Paul's Drag Race Down Under. Alongside Rhys, the stage will be graced by the likes of Kuan Wen,  Matthew Ali, and SuperGirly, as well as finalists from LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2022 Alex Stringe, Dane Buckley, and Umby Winters. 6. Party At Pinknic: Bottomless Drag Brunch Summer Launch Party

Boasting over 60 artists and four floors of fun, this is your chance to experience the ultimate LGBTQ+ summer. Past Riposte events have involved a series of amazing installations to check out, performances from quirky entertainers, and even stalls where you can get your hands on colourful, homemade goods. 9. Get Seats For the Pride's Got Talent Final

Back for another year of phenomenal LGBTQ+ acts, the Pride’s Got Talent final will be taking place inside the Adelphi Theatre. Previous acts have involved anything from exuberant drag queens and kings to mind blowing vocalists, so expect a show brimming with energy, impressive skills, and most importantly, endless pride. This show isn’t to be taken lightly either! The judges will be made up of industry professionals, while the winners will receive a generous £1000 as well as the chance to perform at Trafalgar Square as part of Pride in London.

10. See a Screening of Pride at London Art Bar

Inside London Art Bar’s cosy venue, they’ll be screening the 2014 film Pride. Come along if you’re looking for a relaxed event that’ll get you into the spirit of the month. This is also a chance to support the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity helping LGBTQ+ youths struggling with homelessness - donate if you can. Set in 1980’s England, Pride follows a group of gay and lesbian activists who campaigned in support of Wales striking miners. Featuring an entertaining cast of characters and a touching alliance between two unlikely groups of people, you’ll be charmed by this feel-good flick with a powerful message.
